walle
Plot summary for
In a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation, WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess. Mesmerized with trinkets of Earth’s history and show tunes, WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, is sent to Earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve. WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble. Consistent with her “directive” Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon.
The Wesley’s Mysterious File
Plot summary for
After nearly two years in production, Andrew Lau and Wong Jing’s Dr. Wesley movie finally hits the screens. For most Hollywood productions, two years of production time is normal, but for a Hong Kong flick it’s rather unusual. Either it means they worked really hard on the post-production (i.e. The Storm Riders), or they simply were taking their time trying to find the film’s voice (i.e. most Wong Kar-Wai movies).Well, I’m not sure exactly what took so long with The Wesley’s Mysterious File, but it doesn’t seem to be either of the above reasons. Perhaps they simply didn’t know what they were doing, and the result is a mishmash of poor plotting, atrocious acting, and special effects that would look great on Sony Playstation, but are ill-fitting to the big screen. Yes, this movie is just not good.

Another tragic love story in Cherd Songsir?s repertoire.Adapted from the novel by Sri Burapa, the film concerns Nopporn, a young man who goes to study in Japan and falls in love with Kirati, a much-older woman who?s there on a honeymoon with her husband. Noppong pledges an eternal love to Kirati, who warns the young man of the prickly thorns that such emotion brings. When they part, Kirati gives Nopporn a painting of a place they once visited, and soon the consequence of love strikes Kirati down.

Dew (Anne Thongprasom) is a young computer programmer who meets Ton (Attaporn Teemakorn) in Chiang Mai during her distant cousin’s funeral. They immediately become attracted to each other and start to date each other over the phone.Back in Bangkok on Valentine’s Day, Dew refuses to accompany her best friend, Ked, to a blind date because she is anxiously waiting for Ton’s phone call. The consequence of this breaks Dew’s heart as her friend is murdered by the blind date.Dew immediately leaves for Chiang Mai and finds comfort in Ton. The two start a serious relationship and marry soon after. However, their new-found happiness is cut short when Ton dies of a brain tumor. Dew is again left alone.

Plot summary for
One night, a police department receives a call complaining about the screaming from a house. It seems like a sound of a little girl tortured by someone. From there the police investigation starts. The police found Ingorn (Mai Charoenpura), the 30-something land lady, just moving in with her 7 years old daughter, Pear. The daughter appears to have a mental condition; she has bruises all over her body, which is more likely to be a subject of abusive behavior.
In the meantime, Ingorn insists on not letting her daughter have a thorough check-up at the hospital. Yet according to parental law, she has to allow her daughter to see a psychiatrist.

Plot summary for
She is a little girl from the Ahka hill tribe community in Thailand’s most northern region. The Ahkas are still a self-sustaining community. A youthful NGO arrives at her village to build a small community TV station. All programming is to be about the village with the NGO planning ultimately to have the villagers produce their programs. The little girl is interested but there is a bit of commotion.
